- Insulating values up to 300% better than ceramic fiber.
- Superior insulating values can save valuable space and weight in designs.
When space is at a premium, nothing beats Microporous as an insulating material. Microporous materials contain pores with diameters less than 2 nm. Excellent insulating properties are achieved through minimizing conduction as the particles are spherical and therefore have minimal contact points, and minimizing convection as the particle size is small enough to inhibit the free path of a gas molecule. The superior insulating properties of microporous mean you can use significantly less material for any insulation requirements, saving space.
Micoporous panels are rigid and can be machined with conventional metal cutting tools.
Flexible panels can be contoured around simple shapes.
