Microporous

When space is at a premium, nothing beats Microporous as an insulating material. Microporous materials contain pores with diameters less than 2 nm. Excellent insulating properties are achieved through minimizing conduction as the particles are spherical and therefore have minimal contact points, and minimizing convection as the particle size is small enough to inhibit the free path of a gas molecule. The superior insulating properties of microporous mean you can use significantly less material for any insulation requirements, saving space.
